One more week I create this guide on the stock market and market forecasts in the form of Financial Sundays #2. This is a summary of the week of December 1 to 6, 2025.

Value Stocks near 52-Week Lows
Major value stocks with strong fundamentals near their 52-week lows include established companies with good financial track records, such as Quess Corp (0.8% above the low), Maharashtra Seamless (1.1%), Godrej Agrovet (0.65%) and Finolex Cables (8.5%). These companies show growing sales, stable margins and strategic expansions, such as global staffing at Quess Corp or diversification in EV for Finolex Cables, despite temporary declines due to demergers or sector cycles. Other close mentions include BHP Group and Bank of America at recent lows.
Momentum Stock with Strong Recent Performance
The top 5 momentum stocks stand out for their Zacks Rank #1 and strong gains: Expedia Group (EXPE), Allstate Corp (ALL), Dillard’s (DDS), Kinross Gold (KGC) and Globus Medical (GMED), with growing premiums and Momentum Score A. Additionally, Credo Technology (CRDO) rose 22.6% in 3 months, American Eagle (AEO) and McGraw Hill (MH) with upward estimates of 43%. These reflect post-November mixed traction, outperforming the S&P 500.
SL Green Realty (SLG) is today clearly in the category of «value punished» rather than momentum action. Its price has plummeted towards fresh 52-week lows, but the fundamentals are not catastrophic, which puts it at an interesting-risky point for a value investor with a high risk tolerance. The drop from highs is -44.44%.
SLG has marked a fresh 52-week low around $42–43, with a 1-year return at around -37% and declines of close to -28% over the past six months. Short-term indicators show weakness: negative momentum (MOM<0), MACD below zero, and crossing the 5-day mean below the 10-day average, suggesting a downtrend, not a typical bullish momentum momentum. The elevated beta (≈1.6–1.8) further indicates high sensitivity to overall market volatility.
Market Trends and Risks
This week (Dec 1-6, 2025), the indices closed mixed: initial declines in the S&P 500 (-0.5%), Nasdaq and Dow due to risk aversion in tech and crypto, but rebounds in tech on Tuesday.
