These points below will help you improve the security of your network:

Change the default Wi-fi network password.

Put a password that contains letters, numbers, and alphanumeric characters. You can use generation programs of strong keys for this.

Change the SSID, the name of the Wi-fi network.

The name of the network that arrives with the router often refers to the provider that gives you the service. Have the router firmware updated

It is always a good idea to have the latest version of the router’s operating system since it can correct serious security errors that come from the router that arrives at your home on the first day.

Install a program that allows you to view connected devices

Internet providers have programs that allow you to view the devices you have connected to a Wi-Fi network. For example, movistar allows wi-fi router to view connected computers in an app called SMART WIFI. Every time a new device connects, you get a notification on your phone, and if you don’t recognize it, you can prevent it from connecting.
