Gamification tools for your online classes

For online classes or for online conferences it can be very fun to include gamification tools such as those I present in this article. Sometimes you can turn a nondescript chat into a game where thanks to the power of the internet everyone connected to your room can participate and compete with each other. In addition, they can be a learning tool and in times of pandemic their use can be very useful.

Kahoot

Kahoot! is a free game-based learning platform that makes learning fun: any topic, in any language, on any device, … You create a list of questions and encourage others to join a room with a PIN number. To play people must go to the address https://kahoot.it and there enter a pin number. You can use those questions created on the platform by other people.

Socrative ​

Socrative allows you to review students’ understanding at the class level, individual student or questions. You can use surveys, space races or quick questions allowing students to access a room where you are the one who decides the game to be played.
