Microsoft has released a new product called Microsoft 365 Copilot. It is a processing engine that works behind the scenes to combine the power of LLMs (large language models), including GPT-4, with Microsoft 365 applications and their business data in Microsoft Graph, now accessible to everyone through natural language such as «explain to my team how we have updated the product strategy.»
Integration modes
Customers will experience Microsoft 365 C. in two ways:
- It’s built into the Microsoft 365 apps people use every day: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more.
- Business Chat, which works with LLM, Microsoft apps, calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and a customer’s contacts to get things done before. Through natural language prompts such as «explain to my team how we updated the product strategy,» Business Chat will generate a status update based on the morning meetings, emails, and chat threads.
With Copilot, the customer is always in control. Customers decide what to keep, modify, or discard. With these new tools, people can be more creative in Word, more analytical in Excel, more expressive in PowerPoint, more productive in Outlook, and more collaborative in Teams.
Microsoft 365 Copilot in Powerpoint
Copilot in PowerPoint is a Microsoft tool that helps create stunning presentations with a simple message, by adding relevant content from a document that was made last week or last year. Microsoft will also integrate DALL-E, OpenAI’s imager, into PowerPoint. In Excel, you can analyze trends and create professional-looking data visualizations in seconds.
Rewriting with this new tool improves the text of PowerPoint presentations thanks to its ability to convert bullets into paragraphs (or vice versa), making text more concise and changing create original titles for slides.
